Companies have released a number of info-graphics lately. That’s only since they embody a simple way to show the most important findings of a research.

The new Trend Micro info-graphic is no exception. It represents  the fact that if you have or recently purchased Android gadget, chances are that you’re missing out on O.S updates, nifty features, and security advancements.

As per  the security firm, since 99 % of all Android updates have to pass through device vendors and service providers before reaching the end user, many consumers are obsessed  with obsolete versions of the operating system.

These outdated versions can be weighed down by up to 11 vulnerabilities that can be exploited by cybercriminals.

More specifically, if your machine is running the Gingerbread version of Android, it might be puzzled with as many as 11 security vulnerabilities. ICS(Ice Cream Sandwich) devices can have up to 5 security holes.

Jelly Bean 4.1 and 4.2 are the most sheltered, but even these versions can have at most 3 security holes each.
